Bad update system

The free content is great. I love the workouts. My rating would have easily been higher. However, the app doesnt ask permission or prompt the user to update. They simply push updates out every three to four days. The last update completely broke the app and now I can neither do the workouts nor log them. So the app is unusable until it get updated again. The only way to know if its updated is to open it every once in a while. Very frustrating. The app content is 4 star. The implementation is 1 star.
